# Take the payment at the door: the BlastoClean mobile app

August 9, 2026 · 3 min read · The BlastoClean Team

Here's the most expensive moment in a cleaning company's week: the job is finished, the
customer is standing in their doorway saying thank you, and the money part goes… "we'll
send you something." An invoice that night, maybe. A payment link tomorrow. A check that
arrives whenever it arrives.

The best moment to get paid is the one where the work is freshest and the customer is
right there. That's what the BlastoClean companion app for iPhone and Android is for.

## The schedule, in the pocket it belongs in

The app signs into the same BlastoClean account as the browser. The week's visits are the
home screen, each with its payment status on the row — so before knocking, the crew knows
whether this customer is on automatic billing, has a card on file, or pays cash.

Open a visit and everything the doorstep needs is there: the work checklist built from the
tasks the customer actually accepted, the buttons to confirm, complete or cancel, and the
money panel. Face ID, Touch ID or a fingerprint keeps the whole thing locked to the person
holding it.

## Three ways to take the money

**Tap to Pay.** With a Stripe account connected, the phone *is* the terminal — Tap to Pay
on iPhone, NFC on Android. No card reader to buy, charge or forget in the other van. The
server sets the amount, the phone collects the card, and the ledger settles from Stripe's
answer — even if the phone dies mid-tap.

**The hosted checkout page.** No tap? Open Stripe's hosted Checkout card page right on
the phone — the same page a payment link opens, just with the customer standing there.
The card number goes straight from that page to Stripe. It never touches the app, and
it never touches us. And for customers who'd rather not pay at the door at all, the
card on file or an emailed payment link does the job from the same visit screen.

**Cash and checks.** Recorded in two taps, against the visit, in whatever payment methods
your company has defined — and refundable later if it comes to that. This works with no
Stripe account linked at all, on every paid plan.

However the money arrives — tapped, typed, or handed over folded in half — it lands in the
same append-only ledger, the visit's payment badge updates, and the customer gets a PDF
receipt with your logo on it, automatically.

## What it deliberately doesn't do

The phone never decides an amount — the server does, from the visit's own price, which is
why a dead battery mid-payment can't lose a charge or invent one. Quotes come along too:
walk the rooms with the customer, tick the tasks, and send the quote before you leave the
property — the same room-by-room pricing the browser does, alongside the
[schedule, the checklists, the dashboard and the money](/features).

Card processing is part of every paid plan, with your own Stripe account linked through
Stripe Connect — a couple of clicks, no API keys to paste — and no platform fee:
BlastoClean adds nothing on top of Stripe's own processing fees. [The pricing
page](/pricing) has the details. Recording cash and checks works on every paid plan too,
from day one of the trial.

The van already has a phone in it. Now it has the schedule, the checklist and the card
terminal too.
