# First clean price

Quoting · Web and mobile · 3 min read · Updated October 19, 2026

**Price the first clean on the quote itself: add a set amount or a percent, and tick tasks done only on the first visit. The customer sees both prices, and booking charges the first-visit price once, then the regular price.**

A first clean is usually bigger than the ones that follow. On a recurring quote
you can charge more for it, and add tasks done only that once, without building
a second quote. The customer sees the first clean price and the regular price on
the same quote.

## Turn it on

On the quote's **Send** step, find the **First clean** card and tick **Price the
first clean separately**. Anyone who can edit quotes can do this, on any plan.

Then choose the **Extra for the first clean**:

- **No extra, only first-visit tasks**: the first visit costs the regular price
plus any tasks marked **First visit only**.
- **Add a set amount**: enter the **Extra amount**.
- **Add a percent of a regular visit**: enter the **Extra percent**.

The card shows the result, such as "First clean $240.00, then $150.00 per
visit". If both prices are the same, it says so: add an extra or mark some tasks
for the first visit.

## Tasks for the first visit only

On the **Rooms** step, tick **First visit only** on tasks done just once, such
as baseboards or inside the cabinets. Those tasks are left out of the regular
visit's price, time and checklist, and are done and charged on the first visit.

The **Show first visit task option** switch at the top of the **Rooms** step
adds the **First visit only** tick to each task and turns on the first clean
price on the **Send** step, with no extra. Turning the switch off clears the
first clean price and every tick.

## When it is not available

A first clean price works on recurring quotes priced per visit. The card
explains what to change when the quote:

- is a one-time clean: answer **How often?** with a repeating schedule. A
one-time clean has no regular visits after it.
- offers frequency choices: turn them off.
- is sent as a price range.
- has a total override: remove it.
- has every task marked **First visit only**: the regular visit needs at least
  one task.
- has no price for the regular visit.

## What the customer sees

The customer's quote page and PDF show the first clean and the regular visits,
each with its own price. There is nothing to choose: accepting the quote accepts
both.

## Booking

When you book the schedule, the first visit uses the first clean price and
tasks, and every visit after it uses the regular price and tasks. Moving or
canceling the first visit does not move its price onto the next one. Each visit
gets its own checklist.

## Older quotes

Quotes made before this change may show **First-clean alternatives**, built from
separate quotes. They are read-only, with the note "This quote has first-clean
alternatives made from separate quotes. Turning on the first clean price
replaces them." Quotes the customer already accepted keep what they agreed to.
The **Routine visits** price is now called **Regular visits**.

A first clean price set on a square-foot quote was carried over to this card.

**Save first clean price**. Tick **First visit only** on tasks in each room. The
same permissions and server checks apply.
