# Offer an assigned visit

Running the company · Web and mobile · 2 min read · Updated October 19, 2026

**On Pro and Business, a team member who cannot make a visit can offer their place. A teammate claims it and a manager approves the swap. The visit time and the rest of the crew stay the same.**

Sometimes a cleaner cannot make a visit they are booked on. Instead of a chain
of texts, they can offer their place in BlastoClean. A teammate claims it, and
a manager approves the replacement. Visit offers are included with **Pro and
Business**.

## Offer your place

1. Open **Visit coverage** from the navigation, under **Work**. In a phone's
web browser it is in the bottom bar or under **More**; the phone app has its
   own entry, below.
2. Under **Assigned visit**, choose the upcoming visit.
3. Add an **Offer note** if it helps, for example "Dentist appointment, can
   swap for Friday."
4. Select **Offer this visit**.

You only offer your own place. The visit time and the other people on it stay
the same. You can select **Cancel offer** while it is still open or waiting
for approval. Your note is visible to the people who can claim the offer and
to the managers at that location.

## Who can claim it

The offer goes to teammates on the saved teams that already clean for that
customer at that location. A manager can also let other people claim it with
**Also allow these people to claim**. Someone already on the visit cannot claim
it.

To take an open offer, select **Claim**. Claiming does not change the visit
yet. It waits for a manager.

Visits that start within 24 hours go straight to managers instead of the team,
so a manager can pick someone quickly.

## Approve a replacement

Owners and managers see offers in **Visit coverage** and in the **Team feed** on
the Staff page.

1. Select **Review replacement people** to see who claimed it and who else is
   available.
2. Choose the **Replacement** and select **Approve replacement**, or select
**Decline offer** to keep the visit as it is.

Approval swaps only the person who made the offer, on that one visit. The rest
of the crew, other visits and recurring schedules stay the same. If the new
person has a scheduling conflict, BlastoClean shows it, and you can confirm
the exception with **Confirm availability exception and approve**.

## Good to know

- Teammates get an in-app notice when a visit is offered to the team. Visits
starting within 24 hours go to managers instead, so teammates are not told
  about those. The people
involved get one when it is claimed, approved or declined. Notices do not
include the customer's name or the note.
- Nothing is sent to the customer.
- You need an internet connection to offer, claim or approve.

## On the native app

Native versions with Staff include this workflow too. Open **Staff** for time
off, documents and notification preferences; **Visit offers** is also available
from native Settings or the Crew menu. The same Pro/Business, location and role
rules apply. These actions need an internet connection; keep a pending draft
open and use its offered retry if the result is unknown.

See [Native version availability](/docs/the-mobile-app).
