# Today’s route

Scheduling · Web and mobile · 4 min read · Updated November 2, 2026

**Today’s route lists the visits assigned to you today in booked order. Start my day opens directions to the next stop from where you are now, in the maps app your device already has.**

**Today's route** is your day in one place: the visits assigned to you today, in
the order they are booked, with one button that opens directions to the next
stop. Directions start from wherever you are when you press it. There is nothing
to set up: no start point, no end point and no route settings. The booked order
is the route.

## Who sees it

Today's route needs a plan with scheduling (Starter, Pro or Business) and
permission to see the schedule.

It shows only the visits **assigned to you**. An owner or manager who is not on
any of today's visits sees no card; the company's whole day stays in Schedule
and on the day map. On a day with nothing assigned
to you, the card hides itself. The **Today's route** page says "No visits
assigned to you today" instead.

## Where to find it

On the web:

- the **Today's route** card on **Overview**;
- the same card on **My jobs**, for crew;
- the **Today's route** button at the top of **Schedule**, beside
  **Availability and conflicts**;
- the **Today's route** button on the day map;
- the page itself, at `/today`.

In app versions that include Today's route, the phone has:

- the card on **Overview** and on crew **My jobs**;
- a **Today's route** row at the top of the **Schedule** tab, with "N of M stops
  left" (hidden while a filter is on);
- a **Today's route** tile on the day map;
- after you clock out of a visit, a message such as "Next: Smith at 1:00 PM"
  with **Navigate**.

## Start your day

1. Open **Overview** (or **My jobs**). The card shows how many stops are left,
   for example "3 of 5 stops left", and the next one: "Next: stop 3, Smith at
   1:00 PM", with the address.
2. Press **Start my day**. Your maps app opens with directions from where you
   are now. On the web it opens in a new tab, and a note under the button says
   which app it uses.
3. When you finish a stop, come back and press the same button. Once a stop is
   done or its time has passed, it reads **Navigate to next stop**.

When two or more stops are left, the card can also offer **Open all N stops in**
followed by the maps app's name. That opens the rest of the day as one trip. It
appears only when every remaining stop has an address and they all fit in a
single link, so it never drops a stop or splits the day into parts:

- Google Maps takes up to 4 stops on a phone and 10 on a computer.
- Apple Maps needs iOS 18.4 or later and takes up to 14 stops.
- Waze takes one destination, so it is never offered there.

When the button is not there, **Start my day** still takes you to the next stop.

## The Today's route page

**See today's route** on the card (not shown to crew) opens the full list at
`/today`. The phone opens the same list from the Schedule row; pull down to
refresh it.

Each stop has **Navigate**, for directions to that stop, and **Open visit**. A
label shows where it stands:

- **Done**: completed, or marked as a no-show.
- **Not completed**: its end time has passed and nobody marked it complete. It
  is skipped, so a forgotten tap never sends you back to a stop you already
  left.
- **Next**: where **Start my day** or **Navigate to next stop** will take you.

Canceled visits drop off the list. **Full schedule** at the top opens Schedule.

If the next stop has no address, the card says so and offers **Open visit**, so
you can check the property. Directions use the visit's address as written, so a
visit does not need a map pin.

## Which maps app opens

- **Phone:** Apple Maps on an iPhone, Google Maps on Android.
- **Web:** Apple Maps on Apple devices and Google Maps everywhere else. If this
  browser once chose a maps app on the old day map route card, that choice is
  kept.

## Staying up to date

The web card and page check for changes every minute and when you come back to
the tab. The phone checks again after a visit changes, when you come back from
the maps app and when you return to the screen. If the day cannot load, you see
"Could not load today's route."; on the phone, **Retry** tries again.

To see or rearrange the whole company's day, use Schedule or the day map. For
directions from a single visit, see
