Connecting Stripe and taking card payments
Web app2 min readUpdated
Link your company’s own Stripe account in a couple of clicks with no API keys to paste; payments settle directly to you, and BlastoClean adds no fee of its own on top of Stripe’s.

Your Stripe account, your money
Card processing works through Stripe Connect: you link your company's own Stripe account in a couple of clicks, with no API keys to paste anywhere.
Two things follow from that, and they are the whole design:
- Payments settle directly into your own Stripe account. Your money never passes through us.
- BlastoClean adds no fee of its own. You pay Stripe's processing fees and nothing on top. Card processing is part of every paid plan.
If you would rather add a fee of your own for paying by card, you can — see Tips, fees and refunds, including the rule that it has to be disclosed before the customer pays.
On the Business plan a location that banks separately can have its own payment account. See Setting up your company.
Card on file
A customer saves a card once, through Stripe's own hosted page. You never see or store the card number, and neither do we — what comes back is a token that can charge that card, nothing that could be read out over the phone.
Billing when the visit is done
With a card on file, you choose per company how billing works:
- Automatic — mark the visit complete and the card is charged.
- Manual — charge it with one click when you are ready.
Per-visit prices stay under your control either way, including the price changes scheduled ahead of time on a series.
Every successful charge produces a branded PDF receipt with your logo, emailed to the customer automatically and kept, so it can be re-sent whenever somebody asks.
No Stripe account at all
You do not need one. Recording cash, checks, bank transfers and any method you define works on every paid plan with nothing connected — see Invoices and payments and Taking payment in person. Connecting Stripe adds cards; it is not the price of entry.
