Read the day map preview, review missing coordinates, reassign visits and handle open time.
The day map is a preview. It opens by default when a map provider is configured and your plan includes it. Your explicit view choice and appointment links take priority. Without provider configuration, the ordinary schedule stays available.
Plans and access
Free includes a read-only customer map. The fictional sample day is available only in the mobile app; the web app does not include a sample-day control. Real day-map visits, reassignment and openings require Starter or above.
Owners and managers can review the company day. Other team members see their assigned visits and their own available punch position. Being able to view the map does not grant permission to change the schedule.
Open your day
In Schedule, choose Day map and select a date. The web address is /schedule?view=map&date=YYYY-MM-DD. The map is an optional day view; the other schedule views remain available. Open the schedule on the map on this browser remembers your preference for this account and company on this browser. Customers also has a read-only map at /customers/map.
Street tiles appear only when a map provider is configured. Visits without usable coordinates remain in the list. The map does not calculate driving routes or travel-time estimates. The planned-time control shows scheduled stops, not live GPS.
Visits with coordinates appear as pins. Their status and assignment are also available in text. Visits without coordinates stay in the list marked Not on the map. Correct the saved property address or coordinates through the existing property workflow; the preview does not send your addresses to a new map service.
Reassign a visit
Select a visit and choose its new assignee. On the web, focus a pin and press R to open the reassignment menu, use the arrow keys to choose an assignee, then press Enter to confirm. A drag has the same permission and conflict checks.
A change is saved only after the server accepts it. If another person changed the visit, or the assignee has a conflicting visit, review the refreshed schedule before trying again. Do not treat a rejected change as a booking.
Handle an opening
A cancellation can leave an open time on the map. Choose a visit to move into that time, or dismiss the opening. The server checks availability again when you confirm. If someone else filled it first, refresh the day and review the result. Openings no longer remain available after their start time.
This is a manual workflow. The day map does not send waitlist offers or automatically choose a customer. Reduced motion keeps opening markers still.
Read position age and connection status
Crew positions come from existing clock-in or clock-out punches, when a usable location is present. The timestamp is part of the position: it is not a live GPS dot. Missing and old positions are marked. Do not assume a person is still at a previous punch location.
The day refreshes every 15 seconds while online. When the connection fails, the last view can be out of date. Reconnect and check the latest state before relying on an assignment or an opening. The web app pauses changes offline. If a response is interrupted, refresh and check whether the change was applied before making another change. The web app has no pending-change retry control or durable offline queue.
Privacy and later phases
This preview does not activate background tracking, collect a continuous location trail, or send ETA messages. Live tracking with explicit consent, work-hour limits and a clear stop control belongs to a separate future Pro phase, together with ETA messages and map waitlist offers. Route suggestions and a multi-location map filter are later work. None is available through this preview.
