On Starter and above, the office builds a checklist per property; each visit gets its own copy; cleaners tick, untick, note and photograph tasks on the phone, even offline; the printable work order shows the same list; Pro adds tasks that require a photo and the checklist report.
Every property can carry its own checklist: areas (Kitchen, Restrooms, Third floor) and the tasks under each one. When a visit starts, that list is copied once onto the visit. Cleaners work from the copy on the phone. The office sees progress on the schedule and inside the visit. The printable work order shows the same tasks when a visit copy exists.
This works for home cleaning and for commercial work (office suites, restrooms, tasks that run every visit or once a month on the first visit of the month). It sits alongside the quote worksheet described in Work checklists and visit photos. When a property checklist exists, the visit uses it instead of falling back to the quote alone.
Which plan includes what
Starter, Pro and Business include digital checklists as part of scheduling. Save a checklist on each property, copy it onto every visit, tick tasks from the phone, and let the office see progress on the schedule and inside the visit.
Pro and Business add Requires photo when you edit a property list, require a linked visit photo before a photo-required task counts as done on the server, and the checklist report for a finished visit.
The Free plan does not include scheduling or digital property checklists. Accepted quotes still produce the printable quote worksheet described in Work checklists and visit photos.
See Pricing for the full plan list.
Build the list on the property
On the web app, open the property and go to the Checklist tab. This tab needs Starter or a higher paid plan.
You can:
- Start from an accepted quote, pulling the rooms and tasks the customer already agreed to.
- Start from your room and service templates, copying the tasks you already maintain in Your room and task library.
- Add areas and tasks by hand, in any order you want.
Each task can carry a frequency: every visit, weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or quarterly. On a commercial contract, different tasks can run on different rhythms. See Commercial cleaning mode for how frequencies show up on quotes and work orders.
You can mark a task Requires photo when the crew should attach proof. Setting that flag needs the Pro plan (or Business). On Starter, you can still build the full list and tick tasks on visits; you just cannot turn on required photos when you edit the property list.
The list can hold up to 300 tasks. There is no separate limit on how many tasks can ask for a photo, but every visit shares one pool of up to 25 photos for the whole visit, including photos linked to checklist tasks. One photo can be linked to more than one task. Edits on the property change future visits, not visits that already copied the list.
What happens on each visit
The first time someone opens the checklist for a visit (on the web or on the phone), BlastoClean copies the property list onto that visit. Later edits to the property do not rewrite visits that already started.
Tasks that are not due on this visit still appear, marked as not due today, so the crew can see the full picture without being asked to do monthly work every week.

On the phone
Open a visit from The schedule on your phone. The checklist appears with the areas and tasks for that visit.
- Tap once to tick a task. Tap again to untick.
- Add a note on a task when something needs explaining ("Oven was already clean").
- Attach a photo to a task using a visit photo from this visit (same 25-photo limit as any other visit photo).
- Progress reads like 7 of 12 done. The app counts on the phone, so the number moves as soon as you tick, even before the server answers.
If the visit has no checklist yet (nothing on the property and nothing to copy from the quote), the phone keeps the older quote worksheet. That covers older visits and accounts that have not turned on the feature yet.
Offline and sync
Ticks, notes and photo links are saved on the phone first. When the connection returns, they upload automatically. Each tap gets its own id and timestamp, so a retry cannot apply the same change twice, and a newer tap cannot be overwritten by an older one that was waiting offline.
Photo uploads use the same visit photo pool and upload queue described in Work checklists and visit photos. Attaching a photo to a checklist task counts toward the visit limit of 25 photos.
Tasks that require a photo
On Pro and Business, when a task requires a photo, the crew must link at least one visit photo to that task before the server accepts the task as done. The same photo can satisfy more than one photo-required task if you link it to each one. Optional photos on tasks that do not require one still count toward the 25-photo visit limit.
The phone may show the box ticked before the upload finishes; the progress line stays honest until a photo is linked and the server accepts done.
On Starter, you can mark done on tasks that were marked requires photo on the property before you upgraded; the server does not block done without a photo.
Finishing the visit
You can complete a visit even when tasks are still open. The app shows a warning that the checklist is incomplete. It does not block completion.
On the schedule, a completed visit with open tasks can show a Checklist incomplete badge so the office can follow up.
What the office can do on a visit
In the visit panel on the web app, the office sees the same checklist, who ticked what, notes and photos, and progress for that visit.
From there you can mark a task Skipped or Not applicable when the work did not need doing that day. Cleaners on the phone do not set those statuses in this release; the office handles them on the web.
History on the property
The property Checklist tab also lists completed visit checklists (up to the twenty most recent visits that have a copy), newest first, so you can answer "what did they do last Tuesday?" without opening each visit.
Printable work order
The visit work order still prints access notes and crew-facing tasks. When a visit checklist copy exists, the work order shows those tickable items instead of only the quote worksheet.
Checklist report (Pro)
Pro and Business can open a checklist report for a visit: the full list with ticks, notes, photos, customer name and visit date. It is separate from the analytics reports in The dashboard and reports. Sharing that report with the customer by email or portal is planned; today it is for the office.
Digital property checklists come with scheduling on Starter and above. Requires photo on the property list and the checklist report come with Pro, the same plan tier as texting, Magic Quote walkthroughs, the analytics reports and the API. See Pricing for plan details.
