Add-ons and price changes for one visit

Save add-ons such as "Inside fridge" in Settings › Pricing & quotes, then add one to a single visit with one tap. The invoice lists it by name, its checklist task goes on that visit only, and the recurring rate and accepted quote stay the same.
A regular customer asks for the inside of the fridge this week, or an office manager asks you to skip the break room on Friday. Price for this visit lets you change the price of that one visit, with a clear name for each change, while the rest of the schedule keeps its usual price.
This is available on Starter, Pro and Business for owners and managers.
Save your add-ons
Save the extras you sell often, so you do not type the name and price each time.
- Go to Settings › Pricing & quotes and find Saved add-ons.
- Select Add a saved add-on.
- Enter the Add-on name, such as "Inside fridge", and the Default price. Enter the final amount with any tax already included.
- To give the crew a task for it, turn on Add a checklist task to the visit and enter the Checklist task, such as "Empty, wipe and dry the fridge". You can add instructions.
- Select Save add-on.
You can add a Spanish name for the add-on and its task, so staff who read the app in Spanish see it in Spanish.
A new add-on belongs to the location you are working in. An owner can choose Offer this add-on at every location. Use the arrows to set the order the add-ons appear in.
To stop offering an add-on, select Archive. Archived add-ons are kept, not deleted: visits that already have one still show it, and you can select Restore later.
Add an add-on to a visit
The quickest way is Add extra work on the visit's Extra work card: tap a saved add-on, then add it now or ask the customer to approve it first. See Extra work. To change the price lines yourself, including discounts:
- Open the visit from the Schedule.
- In Price for this visit, select Edit price or add-ons.
- Under Add-ons & price changes, tap a saved add-on. It adds a line with its name and default price. You can still change the amount on the line.
- For anything else, select Add an adjustment and enter a name and an amount. Use a negative amount for a discount, such as -20.00 for "Skipped garage".
- Fill in Reason and customer agreement, for example "Customer asked by text on Monday".
- Check the Final visit price and select Save this visit price.
Enter final amounts with any tax already included. BlastoClean adds them to the base price once and does not add tax again. To change the lines later, edit them and save; the new list replaces the old one.
A saved add-on that is already on the visit is not offered again. An add-on priced in a different currency from the visit cannot be added. Save its price again in Settings › Pricing & quotes to use it.
The add-on's checklist task
When the add-on has a checklist task, saving the price adds that task to this visit's checklist, in an Add-ons section. The crew sees it on the visit like any other task.
- The task goes on this visit only. The schedule's other visits and the property's checklist do not change.
- It is added once. Saving the price again does not add it a second time.
- If the crew has already started the checklist, the task is not added. The price card tells you which tasks to add to the visit checklist by hand.
- Removing the add-on line later does not remove the task. Edit the visit checklist if the crew should not do it.
What the customer sees
The invoice lists the visit and then each add-on and price change by name, with its amount, so the customer sees "Inside fridge $25.00" instead of one changed total. This is the same on the invoice in the app, the PDF and the customer's invoice page.
What changes and what does not
- Only this visit's price changes. The recurring schedule rate and the accepted quote keep their prices.
- Saving does not message the customer or charge them. The new price is used when the visit is billed in the usual way.
- Renaming or archiving a saved add-on does not change visits that already have it. They keep the name they were sold with.
- Reports › Add-on revenue shows what your saved add-ons sold on completed visits, by name. See The dashboard and reports.
When you cannot edit the price here
The editor explains why when it is not available, for example when:
- the visit is closed, a payment has started, or the customer already has the invoice. Use the invoice or payment instead.
- the visit was booked from a price range. Set its final price when you complete it.
- the job is a one-time job booked from its approved quote. Its price follows the quote, so change the quote instead.
A one-time visit you booked straight on the schedule, without a quote, can take add-ons like any other visit.
